About Program
About my program there
A few days after I arrived in the
Philippines, I went through several stages
1. Orientation
At this stage, I was escorted by
the Nueva Ejiha University of Science and Technology (NEUST) campus to my
internship location, San Josef National Hing School. After arriving at my
internship location, I was introduced to several teachers, staff, classrooms,
fields, canteens, several laboratories and other places. During the
self-introduction, it was continued with an introduction to the curriculum,
teaching techniques, school schedules, materials, different student characters,
and also about what programs and materials I would bring to the school.
2. Observation
In this observation activity, I
entered the class to observe the character of the students, how the teaching
techniques were, how the teacher delivered the material, how the children
responded to the questions given by the teacher, I learned a lot of new things
of course because it was different from the teaching in Indonesia.
3. Develop a Learning Plan
At this stage, I made a learning plan using soccer game material, assisted by my mentor because the learning plan I made was still lacking and had to be complete, therefore I was helped by Mam Mel to make the plan. because the curriculum was different, I also followed the existing curriculum, not only preparing learning plans, but I also started practicing teaching in class accompanied by a mentor and occasionally I also taught myself to replace the teacher's free time.
4. Final demo
This stage is the final stage
where the results of what I do and what I get are presented, but before the day
where I do the final demo I first teach in class as a stage of learning to
teach to become a professional teacher, I also do exercises after I finish
teaching in class in an effort to prepare the best results for what I do and
what I work on, I was given 1 hour for the final demo, in this final demo using
the method of delivering material continued with a question and answer session.
using various demonstration learning techniques, lectures and practices. I
package the material very interesting so that students do not get bored with
the material that I will convey. Arriving in one heart that day the Final Demo
felt mixed but I was happy to be able to complete it as best as possible.
5. Giving Suggestions and
Criticism during the Final Demo
During the final demo I
experienced Nervousness which made my delivery of the material less than
perfect,
However, the Assessors also
understood that because it was all beyond my control, the Assessors really
liked my results, how I delivered it, how I faced problems during the final
demo. I am quite happy with the input given as motivation for me to be better
in the future.
